I have had several private inquiries about re-opening the Degreeboard.com Inc. forums from concerned internet citizens. They were looking for once again a moderate place to discuss distance learning topics. After several days of consideration of their pleas/requests, I have decided to re-open the forums.

This was all rather sudden and I didn't necessarily start the week off thinking I'd be bringing the site back but certain circumstances have changed. This still doesn't change my previous plans in my personal life with regards to starting my own database/programming consulting business so I cannot say how much time I can spend around here.

Once again, we are proud to have always been distance learning enthusiasts and nothing more. We felt it could be done better without the barking, sniping, and preferential treatment. I have no regrets about what we accomplished the 15 months we were previously open, and no regrets about what we will accomplish going forward.

Degreeboard.com is the only site like this on the internet with NO ADS, BANNERS, AGENDA, or BOOK PEDDLING of any sort, to ANY school, organization, industry, or individual. We are non-revenue generating by design.

Degreeboard is and always will be a place where distance learning information is disseminated and students and enthusiasts can discuss current topics related to this field.

So...WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'RE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK

Like it or not :p

p.s. Looking for 2-3 moderators, old staff welcomed back if still interested.

Congratulations.

The timing is perfect, and it will be nice to be back here where there is true moderation, and where the discussions and topics are positive and not concentrated of the deficiencies/downfall of a competing site.

Non-revenue generating? More like negative-revenue generating :)

Glad to see so many people returning.
