I am all for moderation, but as long as people are acting like adults and posting comments without personal attacks then why close a thread?

If you mean the ODA thread, we felt there was some excellent debate but everyone seemed to get their argument off their chest and it was dwindling and drifting off-topic and usually when a thread reaches it's peak it just goes down hill from there. We moved some posts by several people in that thread to keep the integrity of the discussion and debate intact. It was agreed to close the thread by several moderators and myself.

Excellent decision. It was time to close that thread.
