Just as an FYI:

When creating new posts, in the top right corner of the Editor you will see an "ABC" button with a Check Mark. That is a link and integration with ieSpell so you can do spell checks now when creating new posts. Pressing on the link the first time will prompt for a download of the pluggin from ieSpell. After it is installed it will then be integrated with Internet Explorer. I also believe ieSpell only works with Internet Explorer but I am not 100% on that.

Enjoy this new feature.

ieSpell's website:

www.iespell.com

Note: Degreeboard has no affiliation with ieSpell.

Thanks Robert, a great new addition to the functions of the board. By the way, has this add-in been checked for spyware? Just raising the question as one needs to be aware of these freeware programs and what they do in the background.

Cheers,

George

Hi George, great question.

Their website claims it is spyware free, I provided the link in my previous post where they make that statement.

I use "SpyBot" at home (9/16/2005 update) and it came up clean for ieSpell, I ran it just now again to be double sure.

Also, this ieSpell is specifically integrated with vBulletin. Although I could be making a false assumption, I doubt Jelsoft (the makers of vBulletin) would purposely integrate Spyware in their software.

Hope this helps.

p.s. Thanks for making me run Spybot tonight, it found that nasty Alexa Spyware again ;)

I use Avant Browser and IeSpell works with it too.
