Cheers,

GeorgeNJEA is our largest educator's union in New Jersey. They represent faculty at UMDNJ for example.

It comes off to me like a union looking out for itself. It appears the union cares less about students' needs and more about ensuring that outsiders don't invade their territory.

The UoP can assist many adult students who may otherwise have limited chances for college level education.

Shame on the NJEA!

Agreed. It's one thing to represent your members, it is another thing entirely to make such inflammatory comments. UoP has gone through some severe alterations to its programs to get permission to operate in NJ.

I wonder what the NJEA has to say about TESC?

Excellent point Dr. Douglas. TESC serves as a solid accredited alternative for mid-career adult students. There are less restrictions placed on TESC than were put on UoP. Neither are degree mills and that statement by the NJEA spokesman is way out of line!
