Well, another year has been and gone, and a new one arrived.
One thing the current disasters have shown us that we are only here as long as we are here.
So my aim for this year is to stay 'alive', and smell the roses, enjoy the music and help those in need. I am in my 61st year and only working 3 days a week, and will not take on any more. I am only working for reasons of sanity, and that my wife is considerably younger and not yet ready to retire. I don't need another degree so have pulled out of the MBA program. I have a daughter - last child/step child of 9 - starting 5 years of Commerce/Law at 17 years of age and she'll need my understanding and support. The rest are educated and 'away' with careers in law, medicine though to IT, so for me it is wind down time.
To accomplish this I am logging off from everything that I don't have a current need for, and this includes all discussion groups relating to DE. So guys enjoy yourselves and you won't have to worry about my 'opinions' appearing out of nowhere, and all the JDs can come and go at their leisure.
And - all the best for this new year - and stay alive in 05. If you need me, email me at pjfrench@iee.org
Au revoir.
