I'm going to copy and paste this from another thread but I think it's useful for everyone to know.
------------------------------------
Keep in mind if you feel a post is out of line, use the "Report Post" feature, that's why it's there. We have a strong moderation team but even at 60+ users and 1600+ posts, I know I do not read every post on every thread and our other guys check in when they have free time available during this busy time of year.
For those on the "receiving" end of the "personal attack" the protocol for you will be NOT to respond to the "personal attack", report the post and it will be dealt with in less than 12 hrs time, probably within the first hr. Certainly don't quote the whole thing in a public response. When your respond and even quote it, we're much less likely to edit it out and remove the offending post. For those not even involved in the issue, do NOT get involved either and certainly don't quote it either as it has nothing to do with you, but use the "Report Feature" if you feel it is appropriate.
This also rolls into our general Philisophy of people should not have personal identifiable information in their posts or user names, it's not just our philisophy but the general trend and standard in online discussion boards.
