Thanks for the invitation to join this forum. I am so happy to see friends here. I spent some time looking through the set of available avatars and didn't really find one that I felt suited me. Could someone please share with me information on how to locate an avatar I like? Is there are particular site or is it as simple as clipart? Thanks.

Thanks for joining us Deb. OMG I can't believe you couldn't find an AVATAR. We only have like 500 of them.
This site, because of bandwidth purposes, (have to be kind to the modem people too) allows Avatars of this size: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB
Which is generally a small square so it can't be just any clip art. I do have the option on where you can upload your own custom avatar which some people have done already.
A place to get more avatars is:
http://www.hotavatars.com/
There's quite a few other places on the internet too, probably most will be compatible with our current configuration, 19.5k is actually pretty big.
Enjoy !!!

I know! I went through your extensive list several times and began to feel rather foolish that I couldn't find the right...image...of myself. That is so far from who I really am that it was just funny. Anyway, I just settled on this person-type avatar- no superperson or alien, just something simple. I think I was looking for the right big cat image, like a lioness or a tigress. A little bit of lighthearted fun.
