Anyone had experience with Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, GA? Does CTS offer substantive programs?

Covington has been around for a long time. I don't think they even have a web site. I believe they are rather expensive. They are not accredited by any entitiy recognized they the Feds (not always bad). However, I think I would spend my money somewhere else that has better recognition.
You might want to look at South African Theological Seminary, Johnson Bible College, or Liberty. They all offer accredited programs with reasonable tuition.

Well, after four years, perhaps its time to thank you, Jimmy.

Jimmy is a generally moderate fellow and one with a variety of experiences both accredited and unaccredited. That is afterall what makes the board interesting (a variety of experiences).
I take it you chose something other than Covington (wise move I suspect).

May I just give a quick reply to this post. Covington Theological Seminary is an excellent school. They do have a web site. Just Google for it. The school is very affordable and the education is excellent. I am enrolled in the distance learning program. (D.Min). I am a 1978 grad. of Southern Seminary.
I am proud of my education at Southern and proud to be an alumni. However, note that Covington is NOT a "degree mill." I am working hard!!
Harder in some ways than I did at Southern. The critical comments on different web sites are coming from persons who have never attended CTS.
Every post I ever seen from a student or grad. has been positive. They are accredited by 3 or 4 agencies who accredit smaller bible schools and seminaries. Hey, most churhes are more concerned about your walk with God, your Biblical knowledge, and your abiity to preach/teach. I truly believe the school is accredited by God and that is good enough for me. This school is producing grads who have a passion to touch the world for Christ. I am totally happy with my decision.

Pastor Dennis, best wishes in your pursuit of further academic training.
The CTS catalog states that Covington is accredited by ACI in Beebe, AK. You say you believe Covington is accredited by God. Is there any connection between the accrediting practices of ACI and God?

One doubts it! ACI has a history that brings some shame each time it is mentioned due to the sting operation on the predecessor. Better an honest unaccredited school than one connected with what has been called an accreditation mill.
What benefit is there to ACI accreditation, other than as ACI once asserted, to be able to say you are accredited when someone asks.
Is God even a recognized accreditor. Does He send a certificate with a sticker or how do you know he has accredited a particular school? (Note: I wish you well Dennis and am semi kidding. Covington may well be a good school. ACI accreditation does NOT speak well of it. There are no faculty credentials listed so we have no idea who is teaching or whether they are qualified. Just be aware that whenever you mention the school and it is connected to ACI certain questions will arise about your degree).
