The University of Miami [1] and California State University [2] offer their own credential evaluation. The links are below.
Do you prefer to have an evaluation report from a University or a NACES member?

Although I would equate both as legitimate, I think a NACES eval because of it's more broader scope and reputation would atleast in theory be more desirable.

I'm curious to know more about the various degree credential services out there and what distinguishes one from another. If I have a degree from another country and want to use it here in the US say to teach, will the institution recognize the evaluation and the degree in question as equal to a US accredited degree?
I have looked into:
AUAP
CCI
Liasano International

I personally would go with a NACES member over anyone, they tend to have more recognition. As far acceptance, it is up to the school or school district on who they will accept an evalatuion from. You should always check with them before submitting your documents for evalaution.
AUAP is have no experience with.
CCI is Shelia Danzig of SRU fame, so for me this is an instant ban.
and I have heard of the last company you mentioned.

Are you forgetting MIGS? A lot of people, including former students, seem to forget MIGS.
Sheila was, of course, a prominent spokesperson - a journeyman millwright.
Note - licensed trades in Canada are apprentices, journeymen or masters - journeymen can work without supervision- it might not be like that everywhere.
