USQ is a perennial favorite.

The 2005 distance education catalog is now available, and reveals the enormous number of programs available: http://www.usq.edu.au/handbook/current/destedprog.html

A quick comparison of the 2004 and 2005 distance education programs shows some changes.

The following apparently dropped:Bachelor of Nursing (Pre-Registration)
Graduate Certificate in Media Studies
Graduate Diploma in Languages Other Than English
Graduate Diploma of Media Studies
Postgraduate Certificate in Technology Enhanced Learning
Master of Education (Technology Enhanced Learning)
Master of Professional Computing

The following apparently added:Postgraduate Certificate in Environmental Management
Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
Postgraduate Certificate in Police Management
Postgraduate Diploma in Police Management
Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management
Master of Police Management
Master of Project Management
Postgraduate Certificate in Education
Graduate Certificate in Astronomy
Graduate Certificate in Physics
Master of Science

The following apparently replaced or renamed:Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Associate Degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Associate Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering replaced by Associate Degree in Engineering
Associate Degree in Surveying, Associate Degree in Geographic Information Systems replaced by Associate Degree in Spatial Science
Bachelor of Surveying replaced by Bachelor of Spatial Science
Bachelor of Technology (Surveying), Bachelor of Technology (Geographic Information Systems) replaced by Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology
Master of Mental Health replaced by Master of Mental Health Nursing

Of course, it’s possible that some of these apparent changes are simply database errors (which is a problem that USQ has had in the past).

This is one of my all-time favorites too. Excellent programs, some of the most affordable programs on the planet too. This shows the USA isn't the best at everything.

This doesn't run on an 'Agency' type basis offshore either as several Australian univesities do. All papers are returned for marking to Towoomba, and all course requirements are the same globally.

I have never needed to study with them preferring to be a www.une.edu.au multigraduate. UNE is at Armidale which is just over the State border from USQ and about 200 KM away. I was Director of Studies at a large College here when they considered doing a joint venture with USQ for first degree courses.

There is now a new VC and several [preferable] changes have been made - for the better. The previous VC was very much and entrepreneur which doesn't always arrive at the best conclusion in an education sense.
