...and the winner is:

American Global International University (http://www.agiu.org/)!

Wait for the part where the entire planet earth, apparently already bereft of atmosphere or cloud cover, violently explodes to reveal the distinguished AGIU logo, and then continues to spin madly, as if dancing merrily to the accompanying disco beat. Nothing says "quality education" quite like an exploding planet, in my humble opinion. Except maybe ANUCA (http://www.anuca.org/) accreditation.

Now here's a feature you just can't find at a non-ANUCA accredited university. The phrase that pays in education today is "student services," and in particular, resume repair service.

This grad had an impressive MBA from Marlborough University in Hawaii to go with his equally impressive PhD from AGIU.

But wait! J.E. Brunton, Esq. blew Marlborough out the door in Hawaii. http://www.hawaii.gov/dcca/areas/ocp/summaries_judgments/un_schools/marlborough/

Another great resume ruined. What to do?

No problemo. Thanks to AGIU, this resume was repaired, quickly and easily. It now shows a highly prestigious AGIU MBA degree (with distinction) where that troublesome Marlborough MBA sat only weeks before.

What RA school besides Union provides that level of student services?

Maybe it's a Thanksgiving reference, as in they are thankful they got the hell out of Nigeria.

Foreigners seem to have trouble with bird metaphor. In Japan there is a bus service with a name that translated into English means "Pigeon Bus." Definitely sounds Vegas bound to me, although the locals never get the joke even when you explain it.

The "Titlas" page links to the Titlas College, London website. (http://www.titlascollegelondon.co.uk/l-aboutus.htm) Isn't that where Twiggy went to school?

BTW George, on the subject of a bird of a different feather, I noticed your noble countenance on this web page (http://waoe.org/web/vol2no3/members.htm), wherein the aforementioned Marlborough University was discussed. You indicated they had a presence in Australasia. Since this seems to have been written some time ago (31 March 2000), before they were officially booted out of Hawaii, wondered if they still operated in your neck of the woods?

Don't know if that page came up this way on everyone's screen, but on mine there is what probably was supposed to be the word "legit" in quotation marks, but the quotes got converted to characters, with amusing results. It appears that they've got you saying you want people to get "a Īlegitā" education.

Yeah, the WAOE page has hosted that for sometime. I think they tried to the original PDF version to HTML and it went cuckoo. I have better copy located on my site here (http://www.higheredconsulting.com.au/images/articles/Campus%20Review%20March%202000.pdf). I am trying to remember back - I belive the owner (David Smith) lived in Thailand and ran it from there, with a Cypriot mail forwarding service if I am not mistaken.

Cheers,

George

Thanks for that link, definitely eliminates the speculation. But that headline might get somebody's ass kicked on Fairfax. In Australia it apparently just means crooked, other places it's got a different meaning. See, e.g., http://www.abc.net.au/classic/breakfast/index/2003_07_full.htm, down to Thursday 24.

A degree from the school would not generally be recognized by mainstream schools in the US.

Very simple explanation - a turkey is a bird, and a tit is also a bird, and a lass has 2 of them.
