House Bill 13 will make it a "Class D felony" to produce a fake degree. See attached.

I found out about this from a newspaper article headline. (Access to the article itself required registration, so I didn't bother to read it.)
I downloaded the document from http://kentucky.gov/services/billwatch/
A very sound move.
I would like to see more states use this type of law. It would be a major blow to diploma mills.

A serious blow to diploma mills would be if the last few states took their stewardship of education seriously. Stop allowing non-resident licensing of schools, schools that are free to pillage the other 49 states, and schools without substantial academic programs.
