All,
I have been looking into a DE program that offers studies from a Pentecostal perspective. I like what I've seen from Biblical Life, including the variety of programs and courses, the fact that a lot of the courses include taped lectures, etc, but I have not heard much at all about the program, and what I have heard has been negative (though all of it has been from people who have not taken any courses from them).
My goal is not ministry, but just knowledge. The only thinkg I MIGHT use my degree for is background for perhaps one day writing works on the Bible. One might ask, 'well, then, why a degree at all?' and my reasons are as follows: 1. I work better when there is a set goal (like, you must complete these classes for this degree) and 2. I would think that I would learn more in a degree setting, if not only for the quality/quantity of work, but for the breadth that is required of a degree program.
Does anyone have any input about this school or other viable alternatives?
Thanks!
Patrick Allen
